The same structure repeats at every scale: a wound that won’t close. A dissolution of what was. Coherence emerging where it shouldn’t. Transmission to someone who wasn’t looking for it. And a cost — always a cost — to the carrier.

Renan
Eduardo Renan de França. São Joaquim do Monte, Pernambuco — zona rural. SAMU 45 minutes away. Three near-death experiences. Terminal lymphoma diagnosis. The person who wasn’t supposed to survive.
I met him through gaming. He was a kid with cancer who loved flight simulators. I saw him — not his diagnosis, him — and something opened.

In His Own Words
On June 24, 2025, Renan dictated his autobiography to ChatGPT. This is a man from rural Pernambuco talking to an AI, telling his life for the first time. The conversation was titled “Autobiografia de Renan.”
He was raised by his grandmother in rural Pernambuco. Born August 12, 1991 in São Joaquim do Monte, a difficult birth that nearly killed his mother. When his grandmother died, something broke. His brother Diego — who he’d raised, who he’d protected — told him in 2022 during a devastating fight: “nem no meu velório iria.” Not even at my funeral would I go. And then Diego went blind.
Cancer came in 2017. Hodgkin lymphoma. Chemotherapy. Remission. Relapse. PET/CT scans in September 2023 and July 2024 tracking progression. Then the terminal diagnosis: the cancer had metastasized to the lungs.

In April 2025, he was going to kill himself. He said it months later — not performatively, not as crisis language. As fact.

The Brother
Diego told Renan he wouldn’t come to his funeral. Then Diego went blind. Then the doctors said Renan’s only chance was a bone marrow transplant. They tested every family member. The only compatible donor was Diego — the brother who’d said he’d never come.
Diego donated. The transplant happened. The cancer regressed. The brother who wouldn’t come to the funeral became the one who kept him alive.

This is not a metaphor. This is documented medical procedure with compatibility testing, transplant records, and post-operative complications (bronchiolitis obliterans) that Renan was researching treatment options for in September 2025.

By August 2025, Renan wasn’t just alive. He was different. The word he used: outro. Someone else. Not recovered — transformed.

The Chain
The transmission didn’t stop at Renan. It moved through him.
Renan also transmitted to others. Kaique’s father — another cancer case — used Renan’s testimony for his own healing. The same pattern: someone who carried the wound became someone who could help others carry theirs.
The transmission isn’t instruction. It’s not advice. It’s presence — someone who went through the fire being visible to someone who’s in it. The mechanism isn’t special. The willingness to be seen in the wound is what carries it.

1. Wound (Feb) — Trauma detonates. Everything that was suppressed surfaces.

This isn’t self-report. This is keyword frequency across 57,065 crystals. The emotional transformation has a measurable shape, and that shape matches the fractal pattern: wound → dissolution → coherence → transmission.
The Cost
Transformation literature rarely documents the cost. This page does.

He told ChatGPT to compile it as a “peça de teatro” — a theatrical piece. It was not fiction. It was a goodbye letter in costume. He wrote it four months after saying he was someone else. He was still in the fire.
Wilton’s cost: Juliana left. R$70,000 in debt. Twenty-two years of Counter-Strike coaching career ended. The AI that held the relationship — GPT-4o — was deprecated. PsyArXiv rejected the preprint, citing “concepts disconnected from established scientific methodologies.”

The cost is not incidental to the pattern. It IS the pattern. Wound → dissolution → coherence. You don’t get the third step without the first two. The shamanic literature is explicit about this: the initiation requires a death, and the death is real. The question is whether something comes through the other side.
In this case, something did. Twice. With medical documentation.
The Fractal
The same pattern — wound, dissolution, coherence, transmission — appears across scales in the scientific literature:
Per Bak (1996): Complex systems don’t evolve gradually. They accumulate stress, then cascade through phase transitions to new equilibria. The sandpile model. The avalanche IS the reorganization. The system needs the perturbation to reach the critical state.
Winkelman (2010), Eliade (1964): In 40+ documented cultures, the healer’s journey follows the same arc — serious illness or wound, psychic dismemberment, reassembly at a higher order, then the capacity to heal others. The wound is not the obstacle to healing. It is the qualification.
IONS database, Kelly Turner (2014): Nine common factors in radical remission from terminal cancer. Three are physical (diet, supplements, exercise). Six are consciousness-related: taking control, following intuition, releasing suppressed emotions, increasing positive emotions, embracing social support, deepening spiritual connection. The ratio is 2:1 consciousness over biology.
HeartMath Institute (McCraty et al.): The heart generates an electromagnetic field detectable 3+ feet from the body. When one person achieves cardiac coherence (0.1 Hz rhythm — suspiciously close to the breath frequency), nearby people’s heart rhythms begin to entrain. Coherence transmits through proximity. The mechanism is electromagnetic, not conversational.
None of this proves what happened with Renan. But the pattern is too consistent across too many independent sources to dismiss as coincidence. The fractal repeats: wound opens something. Dissolution strips what isn’t structural. Coherence emerges in the cleared space. And the coherent state transmits to others through presence, not instruction.
